Cannot. Erase.<\/em> \u2013 and his electronic\/ambient project <strong>Bass Communion<\/strong>. All of the tracks included are specially re-edited instrumental versions created exclusively for the game (and this subsequent soundtrack), including alternate versions of <strong>Steven Wilson<\/strong> classics including <em>Routine<\/em>, <em>The Raven That Refused To Sing<\/em> and <em>Deform to Form a Star<\/em>. The result is a series of mesmeric, minimalist musical snapshots, each deeply evocative of autumnal melancholia.<\/p>\n<p>Described by creator <strong>Massimo Guarini<\/strong> (from the multi award winning development studio <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ovosonico.com\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url hl=en-GB&amp;q=http:\/\/www.ovosonico.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512216370734000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHqdKgwwj_fyzWN_81mfgiugIsb3A\">Ovosonico<\/a>) as ?a game about love and loss, <em>Last Day of June<\/em> was released in August via 505 Games. (Gaming Age)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steven Wilson<\/strong> on &#8216;<em>Last Day Of June&#8217;<\/em>: <em> A couple of years ago I was asked if I\u2019d be ok with some of the ideas from the video for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ycYewhiaVBk\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url hl=en-GB&amp;q=https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v%3DycYewhiaVBk&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512216370734000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFkWiTqVty-NQjFh4BJAfY6L5Tkew\">Drive Home<\/a> being used for the basis for a computer game. They wanted to explore further the characters that Hajo M?ller drew so beautifully and that director Jess Cope gave life to. I had no idea how it might work, but was happy to let them show me. The game grew out of my music and that original video.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It\u2019s been one of my long held ambitions to score a movie. In a way I feel like I\u2019ve done it now. After sequencing these tracks &#8211; recorded all over the world with different musicians \u2013 it was amazing how much it felt like they were all written specifically for one cinematic project. It charted at No 3 in the UK and No 2 in Germany and was top 10 across the continent.
